Jinja

Located where the Nile meets Lake Victoria, this is a great place to relax at the end of the trip, or for more adrenaline-fueled adventures such as white-water rafting, kayaking, quad biking, mountain biking and horse riding in a gorgeous natural setting with crumbling colonial architecture.

- Entebbe city tour is a rewarding experience most especially for those that have a day or two before the start of their gorilla and wildlife safaris to the countryside.
- Uganda Wildlife Education Center is a popular place to visit. It is a gateway to Uganda’s popular national parks and has most of the animals in a semi natural environment.
- Entebbe town has many beaches where one can relax while on Entebbe city tour. Enjoy swimming and boat rides plus music that is normally played on these beaches.
- A short 45-minute drive from Entebbe, the Mabamba Swamp is one of the best places to see the prehistoric Shoebill storks. Along with shoebills, the wetlands are a magnet for a number of waterfowl.
- Boat Cruises on Lake Victoria offer visitors trips to some islands, the equator and to see the sun setting or dawning. Sunset cruises and wine and cheese cruises can be organized for those that have less time in Entebbe.
